Frontier Style Bowie With Rawhide Accent and Fringe
This listing features a blade that was made from 1/4" 5160 steel and has a stabilized Maple burl handle. The sheath is made from 7-9 ounce leather (about 1/8" thick) Dyed, glued, and hand stitched with artificial sinew.
There is a peice of rawhide stitched onto the sheath which includes some rivets and fringe accents. A Buffalo tooth hangs from the rawhide. The handle features an array of pins, unique from my other handles I've done. There is file work along the spine as well. There is a protective layer of leather between stitching to prevent the blade from cutting the sinew.
Blade: 9 3/4"
Handle: 4 3/4"
Overall: 14 1/2"
